Visiting the silk road cities of Samarkand, Khiva and Bukhara and having time to wander in each place and admire the reconstructed buildings. It was an amazing experience and a vacation too. We fell in love with Costa Rica, its people, food, and wildlife. Tortuguero was amazing and we got up really close to a sloth. Excellent. A very different place to the UK. It was lovely to walk in the tropical forest and see the massive trees as well as spot the local animals although a bit too focused on the birds for those of us who were not 'bird watchers'.
